Performing a retrospective analysis, focussing on the perioperative management of geriatric patients in oral and maxillofacial surgery, we aim to individualize and optimize oral surgical procedures for the elderly and frail patient. To reach this goal we are planning prospective interventional studies. Thus, an improved assessment as well as an individualized prehabilitation program will lead to a reduction in morbidity and mortality of this fragile patient cohort.
