Dr. med. Luise Farr
Luise Farr has been working as a physician in training at the Institute of General Practice and Family Medicine since November 2020. Alongside her medical training in various departments of Jena University Hospital, she is active in research and teaching. In addition to her medical work, Luise Farr has been studying Applied Ethics and Conflict Management (MA) at Friedrich Schiller University Jena since 2022.
Since 2022, Luise Farr’s research has focused mainly on assisted suicide, particularly through exploratory and qualitative studies. Her main interests include the general practitioners’ perspectives (HAPASS) and the dynamics of decision-making among people considering assisted suicide. She is a member of the interdisciplinary DFG Network on Assisted Suicide.
In the context of medical education at Friedrich Schiller University Jena, Luise Farr is involved in the core teaching activities of General Practice and Family Medicine. She also designed and coordinated the Innovation Fund-supported teaching project “Patient:innen evidenzbasiert beraten und behandeln (PEBB)” (“Evidence-based Patient Consultation and Treatment”).
