Jakob Hösel earned his medical degree in Jena. He has been a resident since 2023 and has been participating in a structured residency program at Jena University Hospital since 2024. In addition to his clinical training, he is actively involved in teaching at Jena University Hospital and in the NeoPräp project, and he serves on the DEGAM Guidelines Commission. He volunteers to support people without health insurance in Thuringia.
