Juliane Poeck has been working as a research assistant at the Institute of General Practice since October 2019. Her current research focuses on end-of-life care and qualitative health services research.
She is currently working on the G-BA-funded project WATCH (Mobile residential care to guide cross-sector therapy for post-COVID-19 in Thuringia) and coordinates the Centre for Health Services Research.
She was previously involved in the following projects:
- pallCompare (Utilisation and outcomes of palliative care in Germany in regional comparison - a SHI routine data study)
- DISTANCE, focussing on GPs' needs for telemedicine and health apps, and the
- NOVELLE (cross-sector & integrated emergency and disposition management for the last phase of life in inpatient long-term care).
In addition to her work in Jena, Juliane Poeck is employed at the Institute of General Practice and Palliative Medicine at Hannover Medical School in the STATAMED project (Transformation of the patient pathway through a cross-sectoral short-hospital stay model with general medicine-focus), with a particular focus on qualitative process evaluation.
She studied psychology at Friedrich Schiller University Jena from 2011 to 2017. After completing her studies, she worked as a research assistant at the Institute of Psychosocial Medicine, Psychotherapy and Psychooncology (2017-2018) and in the Department of Haematology and Internal Oncology (2018-2022).
