The Institut is situated very central in Jena.
Access:
By train:
1) from "Jena Paradies"-station
Leave the station in northern direction, pass the central bus station and follow the tram lines. Cross the Löbdergraben-street and turn to the left and you can just see the institute's entrance.
You can also use the tram 5 (from railway station "Paradies" in direction "Ernst-Abbe-Platz") to the next stop. (Entrance see image above)

2) from "Jena West"-station:
Follow the Westbahnhofstraße, turn to the left (downhill) about 300 m, keep left (Schillerstraße) After 200 m turn to the left (Leutragraben) until you arraive at the "Holzmarkt" - place. The institut is on the left hand side.

By Bus:
You arrive in Jena at the Central Bus station. Across the street is the "Jena-Paradies" railway-station. Please follow the description "by train" above.
By car:
Use the exit "Jena-Zentrum" from highway A4. Follow the traffic signs "Jena Zentrum". Parking near the institute is available on the Eichplatz and beneath the Intershop-tower.
