Dr. Skireckis main research interest is the role of the immune system in development of organ failure in sepsis and the recovery of immune functions after sepsis. In particular, he is interested in the biology of T cells and monocyte/macrophages. To study these topics he is working on the development of improved animal models of sepsis.
