Center for Early Pregnancy and Reproductive Health

The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) has approved the establishment of a “Center for Early Pregnancy and Reproductive Health” (CEPRE) in Jena. CEPRE was launched on 01.11.2023 and has a total duration of 6 years if the interim evaluation is successful.
Jena was selected as one of the university medical sites of five interdisciplinary centers for reproductive health in a competitive process involving an international panel of experts. In addition to Jena, these are Hamburg, Leipzig, Münster and Ulm. In an initial phase, the centers will receive funding of around eleven million euros for up to three years.
