Jena • To mark the end of the second year of funding, we met for our annual retreat at the historic Villa Rosenthal in Jena. Our clinician scientists presented the progress made on their research projects and received valuable feedback from the Scientific Advisory Board. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Prof. Dr Johann Bauersachs (Hanover), Prof. Dr Mahmoud Diab (Wuppertal), Prof. Dr Achim Kaasch (Magdeburg) and PD Dr Stefan Hagel (Jena) for their time and commitment.

The day concluded with the workshop ‘Scientific Writing’ – from laboratory results to publication, a key step on the path to scientific independence.

With our first publications and clear next steps in sight, we're starting motivated in our third year.
