Winter term 2025/2026 - 1st semester

Welcome to the Master programme M.Sc. Medical Photonics of the first semester! 

Introductory meetings & Pre-Courses

At the beginning of the semester and before of the actual start of the lecture period introductory meetings and pre-courses in mathematics and chemistry will be offered. The pre-course in Chemistry starts on Tuesday, September 30th (PreCourse Chemistry), the pre-course in Mathematics starts on Monday, October 06th. Lectures & exercises

All modules (except for the precourses) start on Monday, October 13th, 2025. The start of the exercises will be anounced in the respective lecures. No seminar/exercise starts prior to the respective lecture. The practical course will start at the end of November / beginning of December.

Exams

Detailed information about the exams (dates, topics) will be given in the respective lectures. A (preliminary) survey of the exam dates is available here.

Consultation Hours

When you have questions about the Medical Photonics programme or if you want to discuss your career plans with us, please, use the consultation hours instead of writing lengthy e-mails. Many problems can be better discussed from face-to-face than via e-mail.
During the lecture period, consultation hours will usually take place bi-weekly on Fridays at 12.00 a.m. in the Seminar Room Kollegiengasse 10 after the Human Biology II couse. The exact dates can be found here.
