Taking over sponsor functions at Jena University Hospital 

A framework agreement between the university (rector) and the medical faculty (dean) regulates the takeover of sponsor functions according to Arzneimittelgesetz (AMG; German drug law) and to Medizinproduktegesetz (MPG; Medical Devices Act) by the university provided that

• the principal investigator is an employee of Jena University Hospital
• the medical faculty adequately controls that all legal requirements are met

Dr. Skorsetz (office of the ethics commission) coordinates the proceedings.
