Dr. rer. pol. Fabian Dutschkus has been working part-time as a research associate at the Institute of General Medicine at Jena University Hospital (UKJ) since December 2024. He holds a degree in business administration and earned his doctorate in the field of management accounting.

His research focuses on linking issues in management accounting research with health economic questions from health services research.

In addition to his research activities at the institute, Fabian Dutschkus is also involved in teaching (conducting courses, supervising seminar papers and theses) and research at the Chair of General Business Administration and Controlling at Friedrich Schiller University in Jena. One area of research is the analysis of the impact of financial incentives and non-financial factors on the behavior of senior physicians in hospitals.

As a business economist, he provides consulting support for the WATCH and AVENIR projects.
