Die AG Stammzellforschung und Molekulare Kardiologie erforscht Signalprozesse, welche die kardiovaskulären Differenzierung embryonaler und erwachsener Stammzellen kontrollieren. Wir untersuchen welche Mikroumgebung (reaktive O2-Spezien, Hypoxie, Metabolismen, Membranpotentiale) und welche Signalketten (PI3-Kinase Signalisierung, AMPK Signalisierung) die Plastizität kontrollieren oder eine Stammzelle dazu anregen sich in eine funktionale Kardiomyozyte oder Endothelzelle zu transformieren.
